This is a quick easy smoothie that can be made every day.
The fruit you choose to use is up to you, its a great way to use up fruit from the freezer. We made ours with frozen (defrosted) brambles-blackberries to non northerners!
Frozen fruit are great to use as they lose less of their nutritional value than fresh fruit, especially if it has been hanging around for a while!
Of course its best if you grow your own fruit, then its going to be at its very best if you use it straight from picking- but we freeze a lot of fruit when there is a glut and this is a great way of using it up.
I added banana and orange juice, but make your own recipe- there’s no set rules here.
I also used home made yoghurt and added some milk- use coconut or almond milk- anything-
Honey was my sweetener of choice but can be anything
100g soft fruit- strawberries/brambles/raspberries/mixed frozen fruit- defrosted
1 banana, peeled and sliced
Juice of 1 orange
150ml natural unsweetened yoghurt
1 tsp honey
* Place all the ingredients in a jug- whizz with a stick blender- or whizz up in a blender if you have one.
